Our Masters of Ceremony are Margaret Bary and Val Medve.

This Ball will use positional calling.

We are very pleased to have the band Snapdragon – Carrie Rose, Miranda Weinberg, Dave Wiesler– for our evening dance.

The Dances – We are still in the planning stage.  Please check back at a later date.

Directions to the dance will be emailed to those registered for the Ball.

Dancers will enhance everyone’s pleasure by being thoroughly familiar with the program in advance, as there will be minimal teaching and prompting during the Ball.

• The afternoon review session on the day of the Ball will run from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, followed by a break for dinner. The Ball starts at 7:00 PM and ends at 11:00 PM.

Restaurant list: A physical copy of local restaurants will also be available at the Church.  An updated list will be posted at a future date.

Location, Transportation, Parking: The Ball will be held at Good-Shepherd Faith Presbyterian Church, 152 W 66th St, NYC, on the Upper West Side. The venue is close to the 66 St-Lincoln Center subway stop and several bus lines. Google Maps and the mta.info site can give you detailed travel directions.

Street parking may be available. We suggest using an app (e.g. SpotHero) to reserve parking in a nearby lot. Rates can vary from $15 to $45 (or more) so compare rates.

Registration

Advance registration is required. Attendance may be limited, with priority given through March 7, 2026, to CDNY members and to CDSS members who live 50 miles or more from NYC. Admission is $45 per dancer ($25 for full-time students). 

Register online or download a PDF registration form starting in December.

Playford Ball Prep Sessions will be held at CDNY’s usual dance location: Church of the Village, 201 W. 13th St, just west of Seventh Avenue. Ball preps are scheduled for four Tuesday nights, three in March 2026 and one in April 2026: 3/17, 3/24, 3/31, 4/7.

Cancellations

• Before March 1, 2026, you will be able to receive 100% refund.  

• Between March 1, 2026, and March 15, 2026, you will be able to receive a 50% refund.

• After March 15, 2026, refunds will no longer be offered.  We appreciate your contribution to the Ball.
